What was your favorite gift that you either gave or received as a child?
My mom was hard to shop for. The one thing we knew she would always like was an addition to her cranberry glass dish set. The set was sold down at Holsinger's Hardware Store for years and years, and we would either add to the supply of "staples" or save up to buy a special serving piece. I LOVED buying cranberry glass for my mom. Now, each year, she wraps and gives a piece back to me as a treasure. Kinda cool!

Eggnog vs Fruitcake. Which is the lesser of two evils?
Eggnog is DEFINITELY the lesser of the evils. I love it cause it's sweet and creamy! You can cook with it, too. But fruitcake? YIKES!!!!!  Beneficial as a doorstop, perhaps, but that's it. I don't trust all the colored chunks in it. What is that stuff anyway?

Describe your first car
YIKES!!! Dad had a Ford Fiesta that had about 125000 miles on it. It was about the size of a tuna fish can. The dealer wouldn't give him much at all in trade-in, so....he gave it to me as a gift and told me it was worth a lot. (That would be used later when quilt was necessary!)
It had a happenin' 8-track player AND a sun roof. I was COOOOLLLLLL!

Mayonnaise or Miracle Whip?

Miracle Whip??? Who came up with that stuff?? YUKK! Eggs with sugar in 'em. NOT what I want on my sandwich. Mayo - definitely mayo.
When I was on tour, a host family in the South gave me a sandwich  not to be forgotten - Miracle whip and peanut butter! Permanent physical and psychological damage resulted.

Cheap eats or fine dining?
Definitely fine dining, if I could only find someone to take me.......and pay!

Favorite restaurant?
Ruth's Chris Steak House. If that doesn't work out, Burgertown!

What kind of shoes do you wear and why?
Black. That's all that matters. Black. My husband says I have 400 pair of black shoes and they all look alike. It's not true. I have only 200, and some of them are different.

Do you have an article of clothing you've had since high school? If so, do you still wear it?
I confess, I have accessories from high school -- mostly belts and sashes. I never got rid of them because stuff always goes around and comes back -- and it has! I can do 80's with the best of them.

Believe it or not, my mother stil has, AND WEARS, some of my high school clothing! I was a seamstress, so I think she felt guilty about throwing things away that her precious daughter made. Mom: Toss 'em! It's time.

What is your favorite dessert?
Anything that combines chocolate and whipped cream is tops on my list. Add in a little starch (like a cookie or pie crust) and we have the basic food groups needed for an absolute delight.

SHORT BIO
Debbie got her degree from the University of California, Riverside. It's in Sociology with an emphasis in Biological sciences. So that she could best utilize the masses of knowledge she acquired, she got a job teaching vocal music at Beattie Middle School. Her musical theater career takes her performing from Los Angeles to San Diego and all points in between.

She has a really cool husband who also works in the theatre. He looks more like Kenny Rogers than Kenny does. (Have you seen Kenny lately?) They have the two greatest kids on earth;  15-year-old Kirklyn, a ballerina and up-coming Musical Theatre Star and 12-year-old Brody, all-around amazing musician, baseball player, and chic magnet. Their greatest joy is creating art in the name of Christ so that those in the community might be drawn to Him in new and fresh ways.
