who we are

Know Grow Show

It's simple. It's short. It sums up how Jesus taught us to live. When we KNOW God's LOVE we can't help but to return it in praise. When we study God's Word and gather together in small groups, we GROW LOVE. As we grow we are compelled to SHOW LOVE to others by serving.

As you can see, this really isn't anything new. At Pathway we still want to help make fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. The process is now refined.

our history

  • On January 22, God brought together 17 people of vision with the expressed purpose of forming a Bible-believing, Gospel-preaching, Southern Baptist Church.

  • When the church was only one month old, a giant step of faith led these middle-income families to purchase the former Grace Methodist Church (at the corner of Washington and Union).

  • Rapid growth soon necessitated stepping out in faith once again. In 1953 the congregation purchased 3 acres of property on the corner of Cypress Avenue and Redlands Boulevard.

  • By December 1954, Temple Baptist was using its new sanctuary; this building is now the Preschool Building.

  • Ten years later, growth again prompted the congregation to begin a building program, and ground was broken in June of 1965.

  • In April 1966, the present Worship Center was dedicated.

  • In 1997, we began purchasing property adjacent to our current location. We now own over 7.2 acres of the 10-acre block where we currently reside.

  • In August of 2003, the name was changed to Pathway Church.

  • Our new office and classrooms on the east side of campus were completed.

  • Pathway focused our mission in the simple statement, "Know Love, Grow Love, Show Love."

I was raised in a pastor’s home and love the local church.

I also love education and have earned a Bachelor of Science in Business and Political Science from California Baptist University, a Master of Arts in Christian Education from Golden Gate Baptist Seminary, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Redlands, and a Doctor of Educational Ministry from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (but please don’t call me Dr. Jarboe – that is way too formal for me).

Married the love of my life, Tammy, in 1987 and now have three more loves (children) Sarah, Nicole, and Kyle.

I serve as Chaplain and Reserve Officer for Redlands Police Department where I volunteer in our community.

I love family, Mexican food, and riding my road and mountain bikes.

I have served on staff at Pathway since 1993 and as the Senior Pastor since 1999.

I was raised in a Christian home by my amazing parents Devon and Carrie Williams. I grew up hearing, learning, and seeing how Jesus Christ transforms lives daily and continually. However, at the age of 18 I chose to rebel against my parents and God. I would later join the U.S. Army and experienced a successful yet relatively short military career. On August 13th, 2007 I was blessed to be blown up by an IED (A big bomb). I say blessed because God used this life changing and traumatic experience to guide me back to a place where I would end up repenting of my sin, confessing Jesus as my Lord and Savior, and begin living a life for him.

I began serving and discipling youth kids in 2011 and have continued to work with our youth in varies capacities such as: local churches, camps, schools, conferences, missions, veteran events and the like. I believe our youth need to see that they are loved, cared for, needed, and important.

I am a graduate from CBU with a degree in Applied Theology and was blessed to have had professors of excellent character and Godly influence instruct me. I am currently pursuing a Master of Divinity with a concentration in counseling from Gateway Seminary and Lord willing, will receive a degree in 2 years.

I enjoy golfing (Yes, with one hand), hiking, reading, go-kart racing, and many other activities that promote interpersonal relationship building. Although I am missing a limb as a result of the IED, there is very little I will shy away from, especially when it means having friendly competition and an opportunity to develop relationships.

I am excited and honored to be serving Pathway and look forward to seeing God mold, shape, refine, and utilize the youth for his glory.

I was raised in a Christian home attending Christian schools through high school.

I worked at Party Plus for 7 years and Clean Sport for 15 years before God placed me where I am today.

I married my wonderful, hard-working and amazing husband, Brian, in 2001. Together we have four boys (Will, Brandon, AJ and Justin) that God has blessed us with.

I had the pleasure of volunteering at Mission Commons, Inland Harvest and Olive Crest, which I enjoyed very much, until my precious boys took over any extra time I had.

I volunteered in the Preschool ministry here at Pathway for ten years before becoming the Children’s Ministry Director in 2012. I have the privilege of overseeing your kids from babies to fifth grade. Together with all our dedicated volunteers, we create a safe, fun and exciting environment to help kids learn and grow in their faith.

I love God, my family, my job and CHOCOLATE!

Redlands has been home since 1988 when I moved here from the San Gabriel Valley. I was raised in a Christian home, accepted Christ in high school but it was not until my father’s passing that ‘woke me up’ to realize I needed to take the step of obedience of baptism and then did so here at Pathway Church January 1, 2000. April 2007 began my Bookkeeper career for Pathway Church, it has been an honor and pleasure to serve this church and community.

My family is very important to me, my wonderful mom lives in Banning, and my three grown children are scattered across the country, Krystle in SC, Louis in Yucaipa with his wife and family and Steve in WI with his wife. A few of the things I most enjoy are family, sewing, gardening, traveling, sea food and serving in the community at the local Cold Weather Shelter for the homeless during the Winter season.

I was born and raised in Montebello, CA. I live here in Redlands with my two Ragdoll kitties. My hobbies are music and oil painting. I have two great sons Ryan and Evan and 6 amazing grandkids.

Prior to coming to Pathway, I worked in the medical field for 17 years – first as a Medical Assistant then as an Office Manager. I went to college at night and did on-the-job training at hospital ER’s at night and was able to take the State test (and passed)to become a Certified X-Ray Technologist. I worked for Orthopaedic Surgeons here in Redlands for ten years, then left my job to finish raising my boys.

Here at Pathway I am the first person you see when you come into the doors and the first person you talk to when you call the office. God provided this job for me since 1993 and it’s just where I want to be!

I grew up in England and moved to California in 1990 where I met Janet and we were married (the best day of my life) in 1991, We have two children, Ian (serving in the Navy) and Joy. I have been blessed to share most of my hobbies including running, cycling, triathlon and motorcycle racing with my family. I went to College in England and studied general engineering. I went back to school in 1995 to learn computer aided design and at age 36 I graduated top of my class! Most of my working life has been spent as a mechanical designer and builder. I am in my element building, repairing or designing almost anything. I love my job here at Pathway and feel very fortunate to work along side some very special people.
